Students enrolled in the Touro University Worldwide marriage and family therapy graduate program gain an understanding of the relationship between marital and family dysfunction as well as serious mental and emotional disorders. It is rare to treat inpatients or outpatients without bringing light to family dynamics, which is why there is a need for marriage and family therapists in our nation’s health and mental health care delivery systems. The program touches on various mental and emotional disorders, such as chemical dependence, substance abuse, eating disorders and childhood and adolescence disorders.
